Quarry days
A stonemason's booking office for stone bound for the old jetty.
Before Sandstone Port kept card tables, this stretch of Kiama kept a rather different set of books — the story behind the name, and the room it left behind.
Kiama's quarries kept punts and jetties busy for the better part of a century, and every block of stone cut, weighed and shipped south needed someone keeping count of it.
23 Terralong Street was that someone's office — a narrow room behind a stone front, not far from where Kiama's old jetty once stood.
The quarry trade wound down decades ago, and the building sat quiet for years before it was fitted out as a card room, keeping its stone-cut name along the way.

Stood empty for decades after the quarry trade wound down.
Five tables, a house dealer, and one urn kept on all evening.
Sandstone Port only exists as a real room on Terralong Street — nobody under eighteen past this point, and no version of this anywhere online.
Clicking through confirms you're old enough to enter Sandstone Port's card room in Kiama under New South Wales law, and that this page describes a real venue, not a game you can play here.
